The Kochi Heritage Project is a storytelling initiative to inculcate awareness about heritage, and to create dialogue around the preservation and conservation of heritage in Kochi amongst locals and visitors through heritage and cultural tourism experiences, heritage education and research, and curating events that promotes the city's heritage.
Founded in 2018 as a passion project by Johann Binny Kuruvilla for documenting Kochi's diverse heritage on digital media, the initiative has morphed into an organization that actively researches and curates sensory immersive heritage experiences to deepen and broaden the understanding of the history, art, architecture, culture, cuisine and the people of Kochi.
We envision a city whose residents and visitors have a deep understanding and appreciation of the city’s complex and diverse heritage.
To inspire locals and visitors to discover and appreciate the diverse stories of Kochi by exploring and learning about the cityscape together.
We work to create sensory immersive experiences that help locals and visitors alike discover or deepen their appreciation for our multi-layered city.
We are lifelong learners; committed to sharing thoughtful stories through the exploration of our city’s past and present.
We are dedicated to rigorous and thorough research that creates meaningful, engaging, and entertaining experiences.
We seek to uncover untold stories, encourage new perspectives, and ignite continued exploration of our city.
