Here’s your chance to orchestrate a one-of-a kind festival that celebrates Kochi’s vibrant history and heritage.

The Cochin Heritage Carnival (CHC), an initiative by The Kochi Heritage Project (TKHP), is a tribute to the city’s vibrant culture, shaped by regional and colonial-era influences and artistic traditions. With walks, workshops, documentaries, talks and more, the Carnival aims to spark fresh conversations and ensure our heritage thrives for years to come.

From December 14th to 29th, 2024, we need YOU to help make this an unforgettable event!

• You’re a go-getter who brings fresh ideas to the table.
• You’re proactive and see things through to completion.
• You have a penchant for organizing events.

• Immerse yourself in Kochi’s rich history and learn a new thing or two.
• Gain hands-on experience in event coordination.
• Collaborate with like-minded individuals to make a lasting impact on Kerala’s vibrant art and cultural landscape.

• You must be 18 years or older as of 1st December 2024 - this is non-negotiable.
• An updated CV and your portfolio, if you do have one - we'd love to get to know more about you and what you've been up to in the last year or more.
• Volunteers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation in Kochi.
• Remote volunteers are welcome for Media and Content Team.

• An interest and prior knowledge in heritage is a plus point, but not mandatory.
• English and Malayalam will be the main languages spoken, but if you are comfortable with multiple languages, this will be really helpful.
• Carnival working days may be long and busy - your enthusiasm, passion and attention to detail will be highly appreciated.

For your contribution you will receive a certificate upon completion of the festival
